  21. This, of course, is a very dumb law.  Follows in this
  22. countries current trend to remove any fault from the person
  23. performing the action (the person doing the drinking).  In NJ
  24. I believe this became law as a result of a court case.  My
  25. favorite example of how dumb this law is is a NY case in which
  26. some guy got drunk at a bar and got into an accident.  The
  27. drunk, or his family (I don't remember if he died in the
  28. accident) sued and criminal procedures were brought against
  29. the bartender who served the drinks, and the owner of the bar,
  30. who wasn't even in the bar when the drinks were served.  One
  31. jury let the bartender go, while the owner's jury found the
  32. owner guilty.  Isn't it wonderful when our government
  33. legislates morality.
