  21.    U.S. Rep. Patricia Schroeder (D-Colo.) and other women members of
  22. Congress will join lesbian veterans and representatives of lesbian
  23. and gay organizations and women's rights groups for a press
  24. conference on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 9:30 a.m. in Room 2216 of the
  25. Rayburn House Office Building.
  26.    The organizer of the event is the Human Rights Campaign Fund, the
  27. nation's largest lesbian and gay political group.  The press
  28. conference has been endorsed by the Military Freedom Project.
  29. Speakers at the press conference will release a major statement of
  30. support for President Clinton's decision to overturn the current ban
  31. on lesbian and gay Americans from serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
  32. Following the press conference, lesbian veterans will lobby members
  33. of Congress in support of ending the ban.
