  13. Hi.  Last semester here at Washington University, I co-founded a group called
  14. the Washington University Coalition to End the Killing In Bosnia.  Last
  15. semester, we held a candlelight vigil to raise awareness of the atrocities 
  16. beigng committed in Bosnia-Hercegovina, as well as distributing factsheets
  17. and putting together a banner/petition to (then) Pres.-Elect Clinton.  We
  18. collected over 1500 signatures on the petition in a week, and between
  19. 500 to 600 people attended the vigil.  On an "apathetic" campus, mind you.
  20.  
  21. THis semester, we are organizing several things to educate people about the
  22. facts and the gravity of the ongoing situation in Bosnia-Hercegovina.  One
  23. of them is a national vigil; we would like to have rallies or vigils similar
  24. to the one we held last semester on college and university campuses across the
  25. country all on the same night.  We are planning on February 25.
