  22. Just to screw up the status quo (I'm so good at this sometimes :) ), that's
  23. not _always_ necessarily true.  In our case, we (my love and I) had offered
  24. these people crashspace in our room, at 11PM I left to get some snacks from
  25. a local convenience store, and when I came back everyone was pretty much
  26. naked ... I was dragged (I was kicking and screaming, rrright.) into the
  27. situation within 5 minutes of getting back, and certainly didn't talk about
  28. it.

  30. Hmm ... actually, on second thought, this may not be such a big exception --
  31. I was told later by my love that she had discussed the subject extensively
  32. with them while I wasn't there (I had earlier indicated my consent for her
  33. to have sex with them, so according to our polyamory agreement she was
  34. 'safe').

  36. I don't think she told them how uncomfortable I can get with women, though,
  37. and certainly no verbal negotiations were conducted with regards to my
  38. interaction with his partner (which came down to nil) ...

  40. bottom line, as always, is that mileage varies ... explicit communication is
  41. not always necessary, though I would agree it may decrease your chances for
  42. a screwup.
