  40. I'd point out that in Ellen's original post she seemed to be contrasting
  41. (the lesser evil of) "clueless straight boys" with the hardcore homophobes 
  42. who afflict soc.motss. While I respect Ellen's position as one with
  43. a confirmed dislike for e-fluff, (and think she is quite nice in person),
  44. I still wonder if that same fluff is one of the things that keeps some
  45. of the 'phobes from soc.bi.  They may prefer to attack people who
  46. they can say are *completely unlike* themselves; not be flirted with by
  47. members of both sexes.

  49. As for the question of men watching, I think I'm in the middle (so to
  50. speak) -- I got introduced to this queer stuff through the lesbian
  51. feminist movement -- in the process I've seen a fair amount of lesbian
  52. erotica, and also gotten a big dose of the ideological arguments
  53. about taking woman's sexuality seriously, not just seeing it as
  54. for men's benifit.

  59. However, the situation Roy describes sounds rather benign even if one
  60. applies an ideological test -- are you sure you aren't going
