I like to read personals ads in the local weekly rags (for amusement more
than anything else), but the few times I've read an ad from a woman that
sounded halfway interesting, I was always slightly dismayed to notice
that it was in the "Women Seeking Women" columns.  It's irritating as
hell to read, in the "Women Seeking Men" columns, one description after
another in which the first two lines routinely contain adjectives like
"pretty", "attractive", or even, goddess help us, "Drop-Dead Gorgeous".
(How about "Drop-Dead Boring"?)  The Women-Seeking-Women ads seem to get
more to the point: "Hang around with me, 'cuz I'm INTERESTING."
