- But seriously, the pink triangle was the symbol used in WWII concentration
- camps to signify that the wearer was homosexual (male--females got a black
- triangle if they were so classified, but most lesbians got thrown in with the
- Gypsies). Now we use it universally as a gay rights symbol--and because It's so
- punchy everybody else (lesbians, bis) use it too, mostly in coed groups:
- there's some conflict in its use because people sort of like to link it to Gay
- Men and the women sometimes feel that it isn't "Theirs", or that they're being
- lost in the shuffle (just like in WWII). But the argument always goes back to
- "What else is there?"
-
- Anyway, That's what it means. I don't know when it started. There are other
- groups who use triangular symbols (Illuminati posers for example) but if you
- see it upside down this reading is a safe bet. Especially in a place like this.
