- This is where the sexual aspect comes in.
- Perhaps the wwhole dancing business is part of the human "mating"
- ritual (making allowances that we're not playing by normal rules
- around here), and amongst those watching you are potential partners
- whom you want to impress. Or, at least, you don't want them to think
- you're a total prat. If you believe, rightly or wrongly, that you
- can't dance, you won't want to compromis yur chances by doing so.
-
- Hmmm. Makes sense. I find I dance much more avidly when in a
- relationship then when single, or even with a group of friends. There
- is this inherent fear of looking stupid and making certain no one will
- want to meet (read want) me.
-
- This is extra funny because people tell me I am a good dancer (very
- sexual was on comment), but I can only dance when involved with
- someone. Talk about frustration. :)
-
- The few times I have been able to cut loose when not with someone were
- when I convinced myself I cared not one bit about the opinions of the
- strangers there.
-
- Or alone.
-
- Now where did I put that Pet Shop Boys CD?
