  12. Somewhat tangental - in one of Diane Duane's Star Trek novels, Kirk
  13. gets to musing about pronouns (Horta crewmember is bringing Spock some
  14. asteroid components data) and the subject of 'Starfleet standard gender
  15. designations' comes up; the Horta's is something like 'B-12 orthomale'
  16. which McCoy describes as 'close enough for jazz'.

  18. Same author has a mess of tentacles tell Sulu 'not bad looking, for
  19. homonid'.
