  23. In my opinion, this has something to do with the fact that soc.motss regularly
  24. bears the brunt of the idiocies of people (such as Arthur_Hu) who are
  25. convinced that homosexuals are promiscuous, AIDS-bearing, untrustworthy, and
  26. pathologically untruthful and people who are convinced that homosexuality is
  27. a disease in desparate need of curing and people who are convinced that
  28. homosexuals are sinners who need to be verbally abused until they repent and
  29. give up any claim to physical affection from those they find attractive.

  31. Dealing with this sort of crud doesn't put *anyone* in a warm'n'fuzzy mood.
