- Well, I don't think you'd need to settle for my castoffs, from
- what I've seen of you. I don't know if anybody I fancy in Chicago
- fancys me back, anyway, and having to spend rafts of money visiting
- lovers is better than having a disaster at home, where I couldn't
- just write off the city altogether, since I'd have to remain there
- to do such trivial things as work for a living.
