  10. I have a question to you folks out in net-land:

  12. I have a student who has lived in the U.S. for the last 10 years (He's 
  13. 16).  His father is an American citizen and his mother is a Japanese 
  14. national.  He was born in Japan.
  15.  
  16. The question is:

  18. What's his nationality?  Is he an American because of his father's 
  19. heritage and his American residency or is he in some "dual-citizen limbo 
  20. land"? BTW- He *was not* born in an American military hospital or 
  21. facility.
