- It is important to remember that epilepsy is not at all well
- understood, and is essentially a "garbage can" diagnosis. That is, if
- you have epileptic type seizures now and then, and no one can really
- show why, the doctors toss you into the epilepsy category. Because of
- this, there are many different "kinds" of epilepsy. Many epileptics
- can pass the "strobe test" (mentioned in previous posts) without a
- problem. On the other hand, some people who fail the strobe test (and
- have a seizure) show no other signs of epilepsy, and are not labeled
- as epileptics.

- I guess what I am trying to say here, is this: Please be careful not
- to make sweeping statements about what will or will not affect
- epileptics, because you will probably be wrong for a large percentage
- of cases.
