  16. Papers are requested for  a special session on "Real-Time Image Processing" 
  17. to be held at the 1993 IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Conference 
  18. in Le Touquet France, October 17-20, 1993.
  19.  
  20. The IEEE SMC conference is the showcase gathering for the IEEE SMC interest
  21. group.  IEEE SMC covers a broad range of topics in image processing, robotics,
  22. and artificial intelligence.  The archival journal of the society is the
  23. IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics.
  24.  
  25. Topics for the session include but are not limited to:

  27. Real-time image processing applications
  28. Real-time image processing protocols
  29. Real-time image processing specification 
  30. Real-time image processing architectures
  31. Multi-media 
  32. Virtual reality
  33. Remote sensing and control
  34. Real-time image compression
  35.  
  36. Papers should be 6-10 pages in length and will be published in the
  37. conference proceedings.  Authors will be expected to make a presentation
  38. at the conference.

  40. The deadlines for submission to the conference are as follows:

  43. Preliminary acceptance         May 1, 1993
  44. Full paper submission          July 15, 1993
