  18. Sun, in the plane of the Bhu-mandala system, not that it is farther away
  19. in terms of linear distance.

  24. Eclipses are explained as the result of the planet Rahu passing
  25. between the sun and the earth, or the moon and the earth. In modern
  26. astronomy, the planet Rahu is identified as the moon's ascending node,
  27. which is indeed in line with the sun-moon-earth system during an
  28. eclipse.
