- Actually, the Vedas state that the Moon is 800,000 miles HIGHER than the
- Sun, in the plane of the Bhu-mandala system, not that it is farther away
- in terms of linear distance.

- between the sun and the earth, or the moon and the earth. In modern
- astronomy, the planet Rahu is identified as the moon's ascending node,

- eclipse.
