  35. I think you miss the point of the Eve studies.  Certainly they will point to
  36. a female as the 'source' of all people, because they can only look at females
  37. anyway.  They are looking for the number of 'family trees' in mankind - are
  38. we ALL descended from one family, or did H. sapiens develop independently
  39. in several areas of the world?  The Eve studies are an attempt to find if
  40. all humans have a single common (hominid) ancestor.
