  21. I have no idea whether or not the stated number is accurate,
  22. but if I were trying to get my hands on babies, no questions
  23. asked, I know how I'd do it.  I'd set up a Crisis Pregnancy
  24. Center in an area with a lot of teen pregnancies.  I just
  25. looked in my phone book, and there are two clinics listed.
  26. Do they each get one client a day who wants to offer their
  27. baby for adoption?  How accurately are records kept for
  28. adoptions across state lines?  What are the opportunities
  29. for babies to "disappear"?

  31.   The controls on adoption in the US are so stringent that attempting
  32. to adopt a child is an extremely frustrating experience for most.
  33. very large numbers of would-be adopters are ultimatley driven to
  34. go outside the US to find children.

  38. anti-choice activists seem so much more interested in
  39. a baby's being born than in the baby's growing up
  40. happy and healthy.
