- Ok, all of you Freudian and other amateur psychologists. I've been noticing
- a lot of people where I work reaching out and touching the walls as they walk
- the corridors. I notice this behavior is a lot more common than it used to be.
- These are scientists and engineers, for the most part, and a fair number of
- clerical and administrative workers. The workplace is a large research
- facility, funded mainly by government sponsors. It has largely escaped the
- economic difficulties that have visited many other large organizations.
-
- So what's the diagnosis? Reaching out to see if the world is still there?
- Or is it me, for noticing such things ;-}
