  34. More's the pity that this is "no joke".  I'm afraid that there *is* a decline
  35. in the quality of education in at least American universities, but it would
  36. be far worse if they were to teach classes in New Age pseudoscience, unless
  37. it were in debunking it with critical analysis.  What we need is a more
  38. solid grounding in foundation subjects, beginning in primary and secondary
  39. schools, with higher graduating standards in oral and written communication,
  40. literature, critical analysis, the physical sciences, and mathematics.
