- Since the CFD has long expired and the CFV has gone out some time ago, we
- should let the votes speak. If the change passes, then one can monitor
- which articles are accepted and which are rejected and see if some
- revolution is required. My own view is that few problems will arise.
- After all, there will still be several other groups (with reduced traffic)
- for discussion of material considered unsuitable in the research area.

- As for style in this forum disqualifying a person: I have seen more
- vituperative attacks made at *meetings* than I have ever seen in this
- newsgroup. What one says, and how one attacks an ideas, is often not
- reflected in how one evaluates the suitability of an argument for
- argumentation. As a referee, I may accept a paper for publication
- that I disagree with as long as the position is presented clearly --
- at some point each author must live or die on the value of the idea.
- After all, I can accept it and immediately start writing a comment....
