  17. For a concise synopsis, I'd recommend Ch.7 of Barrow and Tipler's
  18. "The Anthropic Cosmological Principle" (OUP, ISBN 0-19-282147-4,
  19. paperback). There are 85 references to quoted work in the chapter,
  20. which is, like the rest of the book, quite compelling reading
  21. (IMHO). Not that I agree with the book's main thrust, may I add :-).
  22. They stick the maths in too.
