  11. The following E-mail message (somewhat dated) discusses one site
  12. which distributes Mopac via anonymous FTP.  The same site also
  13. has Ampac.

  15. The Journal of Computer-Aided Molecular Design, Volume 4, Number 1,
  16. March 1990, is a special issue on Mopac and discusses it in great
  17. detail.

  38. I have set up the VAX QCPE distribution of Mopac 6.0 and a working Unix
  39. conversion(DEC 5000 Ultrix workstation) for anonymous FTP download.  
  40. The system is ouchem.chem.oakland.edu.  Login as ftp with any password.
  41. The vax distribution tape is in the directory pub/vax.  The Unix
  42. conversion is in pub/unix.  Some modifications to the makefile and/or
  43. source may be necessary to allow the code to work on other Unix systems.
  44. Also, note that Mopac 6.0 is completely a public domain code.
