  26. Anecdotal evidence is valid in that it may provide impetus to look at
  27. the underlying mechanisms, if any.  There are known health risks
  28. related to non-ionizing radiation.

  30. If we accept that, at some level, such EMR is harmful, and if we
  31. acknowledge the nature of emissivity -- that power falls off with the
  32. cube of distance -- then a low-power source that is sufficiently close
  33. *may* cause problems.

  35. In any case, it merits further study.  There are no good studies on
  36. this.  The manufacturers of such devices claim that they are entirely
  37. safe, which is entirely irresponsible.  It would be equally
  38. irresponsible to be a Jeremy Rifkin-type alarmist.

  40. You responded to my terse response in which I refuted the analogy of
  41. hand-held cellular telephones to living under TV transmitters.  I
  42. claim that that refutation stands.
