- As far as providing stamps of approval, it will be government bodies
- and private agencies, as is now done in other areas. But the stamps
- of approval would be for the claims, not the right to practice.
-
- Presumably there would be organizations to evaluate the practitioners,
- as they practice, not as the present certification is now; a doctor
- should get reevaluated every so often, or when questions arise, and
- there should be continual monitoring for the purpose of providing
- information to the consumers of medical practice. The current
- certification gives little idea about the relevant competencies.
- The go/nogo approach is not adequate; you do not go to a top
- diagnostician with what you suspect is a minor condition, or at
- least you would not if you were paying for it.
