- What is this temperature? (I assume it varies depending on the oil.)

- This does raise my eyebrow. Is there anything published on this
- relation between sodium levels and production of LDL-type cholesterol?

- What would you say "too little" sodium amounts to? I eat VERY little
- sodium right now. This is just a consequence of eating no processed
- foods and having lost my love of saltly foods (I don't add any salt to
- the foods that I eat -- and I don't eat out much at all).

- As it happens, I recently got some blood tests done. My blood pressure
- went down from 130/70 to 120/60, and my TOTAL cholesterol (they didn't
- measure HDL/LDL ratio because that wasn't the point of the test) level
- went from 160 to 105.

- From what you're saying, I gather that it's possible that I could have
- a bad HDL/LDL ratio, because I'm eating extremely little sodium,
- right? (I know you're not claiming this is the only factor involved.)
