- Hi ( this is my first posting to this group) :
-
-
- I am working with the second order wave equation -....
-
- ( d = say is the partial derivative )
-
- ( 2 2 2 2 2 )
- ( d + d + d - co *d )W(x,y,z,t) = 0
- ( dx dy dz dt )
-
-
- My question is could I take the square root of the summation of the squares of
- two or more partial derivatives?
-
- It is true that I cannot work with the square root on the derivatives, but what
- I need that for is to factorize the above equation and later using the Taylors
- series unleash the squre root.
