  15. I wrote my thesis on anti-holomorphic involutions of fibre systems of
  16. abelian varieties over compact quotients of Hermitian symmetric
  17. spaces. It appeared in the Transactions of the AMS around 1978, but I don't
  18. remember exactly. There are relations between these and anti-holomorphic
  19. involutions of the base. The antiholomorphic involutions of Hermitian
  20. symmetric spaces were studied by Harris Jaffee in his thesis. Anti-holomorphic
  21. involutions of compact quoetients of products of the upper half plane
  22. were studied by Steve Kudla in his thesis. We three all wrote our
  23. theses with Prof. Michi Kuga, recently deceased, at SUNY Stony Brook around
  24. 1974. Professor Shimura did earlier work and so did one of his friends
  25. or students, whose name I unfortunately forget at the monent, but which
  26. is cited in my thesis.
