  13.   I'm looking for advice on how to best use Steffen's method (as described in
  14.   Astronomy and Astrophysics 239, 443-450, 1990) to interpolate some 1-d data
  15.   that happens to contain "blocked" or "missing" data points.

  17.   I'm not sure how to handle these flagged values, and I'd like to know how
  18.   others who have had a similar problem managed to get around it.
