- I am interested in doing a perturbation theory-type analysis of a functional.
- It is a scalar functional F of five periodic fields. I wish to expand
- the functional about the fields which minimise F, subject to some constraints.
-
- What I am looking for is a Taylor-like expansion of F in terms of the
- functional derivatives of the fields. What would such a series look like?
- I have a qualitative idea, but I'd like something a little more rigorous.
- Is there a good reference on this?
-
- Please reply by e-mail if you can help me. Thanks.
