- You should have no trouble using virtually any fairly modern
- modem on either kind of phone service. I have pulse service and have
- been using a number of different modems, both old and new, and they all
- work fine. Once the connection is made phone lines work the same. I'm
- guessing that you may be having trouble dialing and making the connect.
- If that is the case your dialing string should be ATDP555-1232 instead
- of ATDT555-1232. (substitute your desired number.) Note the last letter
- the P and T determine how your modem will dial. Once the modem dials
- it should be clear sailing from there.
