I took the first catalogue of the shelf (Aldrich, a large one here in
the Netherlands), and found
    trichloroacetic acid 98%:   NLG 100 per kg
        trichloroacetic acid 99%:   NLG 216 per kg
I can imagine that pharmacologically approved acetic acid will
indeed be that costly. On the other hand, I can imagine also that
for the treatment you're indicating any grade will do.

ps USD 1 ~= NLG 1.8
