- Here is something I heard a biochemist saying/asking during his chemistry lab:

- He was at the the shelter for buying chemicals and had his lab book open in
- front of him and ask for something that sounded like:
- Methyl-carbonyl-methoxy...
- The straight answer from the man working at the shelter was:
- Sorry, that we surely don`t have.
- The I took a peek in this persons lab book and what did I see?

- O
- CH3-C-O-CH3

- So I ask for him for Acetic Ester and the answer was:
- Yes of course, that we do have.
- The student look at me and asked asthonished:
- Really, now why is that so?

- Okay, okay I know, it is not fair to be mean about
- something like this, but then, it IS still kind of funny.
