- I have the Makita planer and I absolutely love it. The moving table
- has not yet been a problem with lumber up to 8 feet. This is with 3/4
- lumber however and i'm sure that 8/4 oak without extra support would
- be a mistake. It all boils down to how a tool is used which is why
- some people like and some dislike the very same tool. It was $445
- which is kind of high but it got the highest review in a planer
- comparison some time back.
