- You might try carbide-tipped bits. I noticed yesterday Harbor Freight
- (1-800-423-2567) lists a 7 piece carbide-tipped brad point drill bit
- set (1/8",3/16,1/4,5/16,3/8,7/16,1/2, with 3/8" shanks, stock # 00548-0CTA)
- for $17.99 +post. I don't know whether the carbide would solve your
- problem, and Harbor Freight quality is variable, but it might be worth
- giving it a try. If you do try them, let me what you think.
