- Hi All!
-
- Ideally, I'd like an accurate prediction of the snow conditions, for the
- last two weeks of March, for the area around Verbier in Switzerland, but
- according to the FAQ one should not ask such questions! :-)
-
- Seriously, though, what are the snow conditions there now? In general,
- would they improve or get worse by the end of March? Living in a hot,
- Southern Hemisphere country, I have no experience with European winters!
- How crowded are the slopes likely to be around that time of the year?
-
- There has been some discussion here about the merits of radar reflectors
- and radio beacons. I am a rank beginner, having skied only once (at
- Loveland, Colorado), so I will confine myself to the marked pistes. Are
- such devices necessary for a skier such as myself? What about insurance
- to cover the need to be casavaced-off by helicopter?
-
- PS: Thanks to the keepers of the FAQs and to all you who contribute to the
- high signal to noise ratio in this news group.
-
- Thanking you in anticipation
- Antony
