-
- There are 5 models (in descending stiffness):
-
- Equipe 9.0 Race
- Equipe 9.0
- Force 9.0
- Equipe 8.0
- Force 8.0
-
- I have the Equipe 8.0, and have put 7 ski days on them so far. I think
- they're great. They fit me very snuggly, and offer lots of control.
- The flex is about right for me, since I only weigh 175lbs and I don't
- run gates. I ski a mixture of steeps, powder and bumps. If you plan to
- ski a fair amount of moguls, I wouldn't go above the Force 9.0 unless you
- are really heavy. I've seen a few folks on the Equipe 9.0: one guy was
- an Outer Limits guide at Crested Butte and the other guy was a collegiate
- racer.
-
- The entire line is intended for racers/experts/advanced skiers, so you
- shouldn't worry about getting stuck with an intermediate level boot.
- The Force 8.0 is advertised as the mogul/extreme boot. Don't get a "too
- stiff" boot just because you think it's macho. Get the correct boot for
- the terrain you ski (and your weight).
