  14. Seaviews '93 has started distributing flyers for their show in
  15. Oakland, CA on March 20-21 this year. Attendees from previous
  16. years should receive flyers in the mail. Folks new to scuba diving
  17. might be able to pick up a copy of the flyer from local scuba shops,
  18. but don't count on it. Already a couple of dive store owners have
  19. expressed disappointment with Seaviews '93 promoting Performance
  20. Diver mail order dive equipment. This, of course, works directly in 
  21. contrast to what local retailers are trying to achieve, sales.

  23. I'm told by folks at the Northern Calif Underwater Photographic
  24. Society that the agreement for the use of Northern Cal UPS name in
  25. association with the annual Sea Underwater Film Festival expires
  26. with this years show.

  28. This year's Underwater film Festivel will be MC'd by Jean-Michel
  29. Cousteau. The show will include:

  35.     My Favorite Places to Dive - Marty Snyderman

  37.     Recent Expedition Footage - Jean-Michel Cousteau

  41. The Underwater Film Festival is in addition to Seaviews and carries its
  42. own admission price of $14.

  44. There's probably over 100 seminars presented during the two day show.
  45. Some look to be pretty good, like Advanced UW Photography with Chris
  46. Newbert, or UW Video Technique with Jim Church, or Sharks In The Wild
  47. with Marty Snyderman. Others I would avoid such as Regulator Care and
  48. Feeding by Wet Pleasure, or Monterey's Best Boat Dives by Marine Skin
  49. Diving.

  51. For what it's worth, Seaviews asked me if I would be intertested in
  52. giving a seminar this year. I've decided to go diving in California's
  53. Channel Islands that weekend instead. :-)
