- I think that the essence of Traditional Scouting is that Baden-Powell
- would recognise it as Scouting, the modern Scout Association is too
- different to what he envisaged.

- * We still wear a distinct uniform, the uniform is functional as well as
- smart. Our Scouts have a pride in their uniform.

- * We still use a lot of Baden-Powell's original testwork and structure
- e.g. our Law and Promise are virtually identical to those of his time.

- * We still use the Patrol as the fundamental organisational unit.
- Youngsters in a 'gang' under the control of a leader, the PL. Pls and
- APLs still do some of the training of members of their Patrol.
