- Last summer while visiting the Jamestown Historical Site, my
- Cub Scout son participated in a study project sponsored by the
- National Park Service. He had to walk around the site and complete
- a questionaire, attend several lectures and demonstrations, and
- talk to a ranger to indicate what he had learned.
-
- The publicity for this program (at the Jamestown information desk)
- indicated that participation would satisfy the requirements for
- a Cub historical award/patch. I do not remember the exact title of
- the award.
-
- My local scout office/shop has no clue what I'm talking about. There
- was the suggestion that this was a patch offered by one of the districts
- in the vicinity of Jamestown (though I suspect this would be of little
- use to park visitors from all over the country).
-
- My son would like to receive this award/recognition. If anyone has any
- further information or pointers, please let me know.
-
- Thanks in advance.
