  10. Last summer while visiting the Jamestown Historical Site, my
  11. Cub Scout son participated in a study project sponsored by the
  12. National Park Service. He had to walk around the site and complete
  13. a questionaire, attend several lectures and demonstrations, and
  14. talk to a ranger to indicate what he had learned.

  16. The publicity for this program (at the Jamestown information desk)
  17. indicated that participation would satisfy the requirements for
  18. a Cub historical award/patch. I do not remember the exact title of
  19. the award.

  21. My local scout office/shop has no clue what I'm talking about. There
  22. was the suggestion that this was a patch offered by one of the districts
  23. in the vicinity of Jamestown (though I suspect this would be of little
  24. use to park visitors from all over the country).

  26. My son would like to receive this award/recognition. If anyone has any
  27. further information or pointers, please let me know.
