- Hi again!
-
- Last night our area music advisers showed up to teach us some new songs.
- Well, no point giving you the words to the songs, since you'd need the music
- too, and I'm not about to type THAT in. But...
-
- We did two really fun rhymes, and here they are:
-
- ------------------------------------------------
- 1000 hairy savages
- Sitting down to lunch
- Gobble gobble, glump glump,
- Munch, munch munch!
-
- The girls loved this. First the leader did it in a more or less normal
- voice, and got the girls to the point where they could recite it with her.
- Then she modified it each time 'round. They did it with an English accent,
- an Australian accent, a southern USA accent, and then in different dramatic
- ways according to the girls' suggestions - scary, sleepy, etc. Everybody
- liked it, but I'd say the brownies (ages 6 to 9) were most enthusiastic.
- -------------------------------------------------
-
- A way down south, not very far
- A jay bird died of the WHOOPing cough
- He WHOOPED so hard with the WHOOPING cough
- That he WHOOPED his head and tail right off.
-
- You'll use up some energy with this one! Everybody crouches down with
- fingers touching the floor. Every time you come to a WHOOP, everybody
- springs up to a standing position, with hands way up above your heads. Then
- you quickly return to a crouching position, only to spring up again at the
- next whoop. This is exhausting! Good for those squirmy little kids... it
- was very popular, too.
