- I think Park pretty much has dropped out of ultra-marathoning. I used to
- direct a local 50 miler which he often ran. I think the last one he ran was
- about four years ago (I could check my records if you are strongly curious).
- I understand that he always runs the Harrisburg Marathon so that he can keep
- his record of running every one intact. In the early 80s, I believe, the NY
- 50 miler was on Saturday, and the Harrisburg Marathon the next day, and Park
- would run both. I remember one year, when I ended up running in the low
- 2:50s, about 5 miles into the race Park just floated by me. He was marvelous
- to watch. I was humbled by the thought of his running a 50 miler the previous
- day.
