- Apologies if my original post implied anything negative about
- Todd Williams. As mentioned in that post, he is a fine runner, now
- the best at 10k in the U.S. This is a considerable accomplishment.
- My point was more a question about American distance runners in
- general: Why do young Americans go to the Olympics hoping to get
- international experience that will pay off in the years ahead, while
- young Kenyans go to the Olympics expecting to whip the field?
