  15. Hi gang!  I'm back from a coasterless trip to Houston; ahh the suffering
  16. one must do for one's job.  I probably wouldn't have survived the two
  17. weeks if I had had to visit Astroworld, Fiesta Texas and Six Flags over
  18. Texas anyway. ;^)

  50. Well, I've never ridden Batman, but would probably make noise on it.  I
  51. tend to like to make noise on a coaster, it adds to the enjoyment for
  52. me.  I can sit there stoically and just ride it, or I can add
  53. exclamations (``Wheeeeeee----haaaaaaahh'' or ``Whoooooaaaaaaaaa'' or
  54. an occasional grunt or whatever seems appropriate) and have more fun
  55. with the ride.  I can't fully explain it, but using the vocal chords
  56. seems to change my actual response to the ride.  The drops are more
  57. intense, the corners flatter, the airtime lasts longer.  It really
  58. improves the coaster.

  60. Now, listening to you sourpusses makes me think I'm a bit weird. ;^)

  62. Anyway, rides that have gotten an *unsolicited* sound out of my mouth:

  64.     Colossus, the original (at Magic Mountain), with PTC trains. 
  65.         Sheer terror.

  67.     Zipper. Things like ``Whooooaaaaaa'' when coming around the top of
  68.         the boom and doing some wild flipping maneuver (similar to
  69.         what I imagine a ride on Batman to be like).

  71.     Tilt-a-Whirl.  I can't explain it, but I laugh hysterically the
  72.         entire time I ride one of these.  My wife says I look
  73.         like a doofus.  Perhaps, but I'm having fun!

  75.     Colossus, the Fire Dragon (Schwarzkopf Doppel Looping coaster at
  76.         Lagoon, Utah).  Ride this one in the last and *try* to
  77.         avoid making noise on the swoop drop.  I can't do it,
  78.         anyway.
