  17. Well, yeah, and you can camp in the FREE National Forest campground
  18. about 4 or 5 miles up the hill for that back-to-nature feel.  (I've done
  19. it!)

  21. As for Lagoon itself, well, there ain't much vegetation, and the only
  22. thing that *naturally* grows in the area is sagebrush and an occaisonal
  23. bit of range grass.  And it's FLAT.  Flatter than east Texas.  Flat,
  24. flat, flat.  (The famous Bonneville Salt Flats are not too far away.)
  25. Turn your back on the mountains and you'd never imagine that there are
  26. 10,000+ foot-high mountains right behind you.  But the coasters sure are
  27. good (a Miller and two Schwarzkopfs).  You'll probably end up buying lots
  28. to drink, 'cause it can get hot there.  And don't bother with the log
  29. flume to cool off.  It's incredibly lame.  (Buck tells me the flume at
  30. Riverside in NoChoiceOfSeats, MA is even lmer, but I find that hard to
  31. believe.)

  33. I was just driving by Lagoon the other day.  Sure looks lonely, with
  34. snow piled up on everything and no one riding the rides.  April seems
  35. like a long way off.  (And with this winter we've been having, it might
  36. be May before they can open!)
