- Well, yeah, and you can camp in the FREE National Forest campground
- about 4 or 5 miles up the hill for that back-to-nature feel. (I've done
- it!)
-
- As for Lagoon itself, well, there ain't much vegetation, and the only
- thing that *naturally* grows in the area is sagebrush and an occaisonal
- bit of range grass. And it's FLAT. Flatter than east Texas. Flat,
- flat, flat. (The famous Bonneville Salt Flats are not too far away.)
- Turn your back on the mountains and you'd never imagine that there are
- 10,000+ foot-high mountains right behind you. But the coasters sure are
- good (a Miller and two Schwarzkopfs). You'll probably end up buying lots
- to drink, 'cause it can get hot there. And don't bother with the log
- flume to cool off. It's incredibly lame. (Buck tells me the flume at
- Riverside in NoChoiceOfSeats, MA is even lmer, but I find that hard to
- believe.)
-
- I was just driving by Lagoon the other day. Sure looks lonely, with
- snow piled up on everything and no one riding the rides. April seems
- like a long way off. (And with this winter we've been having, it might
- be May before they can open!)
