  14. Hi all,
  15. Pee-wee has a really terrible, unbreakable (I've given up, that is, beyond
  16. shooing her away when I hear her doing this) habit of digging and pulling at
  17. my bedsheets.  What this tends to mean is that I spend a lot of money on
  18. new fitted sheets which never match my top sheets (okay, not a big deal)
  19. because her little scratches turn into gaping rips in a few weeks if I am
  20. not TOTALLY vigilant.  Thus far I'd just been using the dead sheets as
  21. rags, but with the last one I got the bright idea of just giving it to her
  22. as it was.  Now it's in a pile on the floor of "her room" (also known as
  23. my study, when she cares to share it with me :) ) and she pushes at it and
  24. digs in it and rearranges it and drags it around all the time.  She's
  25. really funny.  We have started this game where she'll be digging and I'll
  26. throw another piece of the sheet over her and she digs her way out and
  27. jumps on me.  Lots of laughs...
  28. This may be wishful thinking, but I think she may even have tapered off on
  29. ripping the sheets I'm still trying to use...

  31. Just now, she seems to have decided her litter box is a toy, too.  Pine
  32. shavings everywhere...Then she got part way out of it (hind legs on the
  33. floor, front legs reaching into the box) and started _dragging_ it across
  34. the floor!

  36. Enough of that...I sort of recall someone saying earlier that it's a
  37. better idea than not to spay females even if they have no contact with
  38. males, because they tend to get ovarian tumors...Is that right?  I've
  39. always just kind of felt that if there was no need, why have her cut up? 
  40. Can someone please repost or repeat the basic arguments for getting
  41. rabbits spayed?  Also, she's about 1 1/2.  Is that too old?  Too young?
