- I wish the ears would never lie down. Please, think about the welfare
- of the animal. Erect ears bring in far better audio quality, essential
- to a rabbit who relies on an acute hearing to defend itself. They act
- as wonderful cooling structures for the hot head. Check out the ear
- tips' temperature with the Bun in a warm room, and check again with it
- in a cool room. Also note how the ears lie down or stand up when the Bun
- is resting depending on room temperature.
-
- My 15 lbs giant rabbit has ears that stand up six inches and swivel
- independently according to where the sound source is. I think he's
- enjoying the use of that part of his anatomy quite a lot.
