- Long time ago it was -- 1956, I think. An interesting sidelight is that
- highschool football teams kill more athletes in a year that Marine Corps
- boot camp has, at least since 1956. Not counting suicides, of course. I
- don't have the actual numbers at hand, so I wouldn't bet anything very

- DI beating up recruits. I almost posted a reply asking if that was
- the US military, or some foreign country. Stories like that are
- not uncommon with the Korean armed forces, and I'd imagine there are
- a few other countries like that too. Probably end up behind bars
- in America.
