- I saw an old movie where Robin Hood takes on Little John. The fight scene
- takes place on a log which is a bridge over a stream. Each contestant mounts
- the bridge at opposite sides of the stream, and so must balance on the log as
- well as fight. The staffs were held the way a weightlifter would attempt a
- deadlift on a barbell. i.e. hands centered on staff, spread, one grip up, one
- grip down. The moves consisted of pushing on the opponents staff raised chest
- high, and "hooking" with the staff to strike with either end of the staff in a
- circular type path. There was no jabbing, poking, or hand position moving.
-
- Well, ummm.
