  15. personally, i would like to hear more about the actual (which is
  16. to say, knowable through historical documentation) history of balloon
  17. making.  what were the first balloons used for twisting (ive heard
  18. pig bladders were the original toy balloon, but what about latex
  19. balloons? presumably this begain with the colonization of
  20. parts of the world which grow/produce rubber).  what shape balloon
  21. was first -- round, or elongated? are there period images or
  22. illustrations of early balloons? who first twisted one into a character
  23. shape? were they first drawn on faces, etc? did magicians first twist
  24. animals?
  25. i'd like to know more about this, in an idle sort of way. i would welcome
  26. any references, or information you might have.
