- personally, i would like to hear more about the actual (which is
- to say, knowable through historical documentation) history of balloon
- making. what were the first balloons used for twisting (ive heard
- pig bladders were the original toy balloon, but what about latex
- balloons? presumably this begain with the colonization of
- parts of the world which grow/produce rubber). what shape balloon
- was first -- round, or elongated? are there period images or
- illustrations of early balloons? who first twisted one into a character
- shape? were they first drawn on faces, etc? did magicians first twist
- animals?
- i'd like to know more about this, in an idle sort of way. i would welcome
- any references, or information you might have.
