- Get your gun back, now! Do not pass go, do not collect $200. You might
- loan out your fishing equipment, your wife, or your car, but you don't
- loan out guns (on a quasi-permanent basis). If this guy needs/wants a
- gun for self protection, he can get his own; they _can_ be had for as
- little as $10-$25. If you feel responsible for him, get him a baseball
- bat for an interim measure.
-
- *You* are responsible for whatever happens to/with that gun. That includes
- any and all crimes, regardless if the gun was stolen. At the least, it
- could get real ugly for you for awhile. Did you ever hear of a "friendly"
- prosecuter?
-
- As to the shooting in the leg business - forget it! You (and him) Take
- some courses presented by "professionals", NRA INCLUDED. Specifically
- look for the Personal Protection course. Usually the Basic Handgun course
- is a prerequisite. Good luck. I have a feeling you're going to need it.
